PICC Pays Tribute to its Chairman of the Board, BSP Governor Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr.

The management and staff of the Philippine International Convention Center mourn the passing of its beloved Chairman of the Board, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr.

During his term as Chairman, Governor Espenilla has expressed his full support for PICC’s expansion plans and management initiatives, with the ultimate goal of making the Center financially sustainable.

He envisioned the PICC to be a progressive and globally competitive institution. “PICC is an important face of the Philippines (which shows) that we are progressive, capable of handling complicated world-class events and a track record that speaks for itself. We contribute to the total proposition of the country that we are topnotch, globally competitive, that we are proud to proclaim that we can be the world-class host to the world because we are world-class,” he said in an interview last February 2018.

He believed and leveraged on the competencies of PICC officials and staff towards ensuring that PICC is sustainable and will continue to contribute to tourism and hospitality related developments.

His legacy of good governance and dedicated public service shall live on.
